The SPD Charity Show at Nex Shopping Mall

On last friday(11 March 2011) when I went to Nex Shopping Mall for dinner, I saw the SPD held an external event at NEX Shopping Mall. Dasmond Koh was the hosted and celebrities such as Bryan Wong and Elvin Ng lead other supporters in taking turns to clock the longest distance run on treadmill for three hours. SPD hope to be able to change mindsets with their message of acceptance and to raise funds to help people with disabilities. The SPD Charity Show 2011 will repeated on Channel 8 at 3.30pm, 20 March 2011. So do support.

Indian "Paper Tosai"

I love to eat Paper Tosai whenever I go to Indian restaurant. Paper Tosai is named such a way as tosai is cooked to paper thin and is usually very crispy. It come with different sauce. I personally loved the red color spicy sauce, it's yummy. The another Indian dishes I try is Appam, bowl-shaped thin pancakes made from fermented rice flour, the edges is golden crisp and the centre is soft and spongy ,the white color source is coconut milk and it taste a bit sweet, where the orange color thing is the coconut sugar and it also come with spicy vegetable curry.

Red packet

Normally before Chinese New Year, people would like to collect red packets from difference banks, company or restaurant, so that they could used it for monetary gift 压岁钱 ( yāsuì qián ) or call 利是 ( lai see ) which are typically given to the unmarried by the married; most of whom are children.. The red color of the envelope symbolizes good luck and is supposed to ward off evil spirits, and was believed to protect the elderly from sickness and death. Below are some of my collections of red packets for this Chinese New Year. Some designs are quite nice.
